Frequently asked questions

Strong Mama’s

How soon can I exercise after having my baby?

If you have a vaginal delivery you can come back to exercise 6-8 weeks after giving birth. If you have had a c-section then you must wait at little longer between 8-10 weeks after giving birth. However you delivered your child/ren, you must make sure that you see your GP for your 6-8 week check prior to starting to ensure that you are ready to start exercising again. Remember your body has been on a rollarcoaster and needs some time to recover!

Can I exercise while I am pregnant?

Yes, our classes are suitable for both pre and postnatal clients. Although pregnancy is not a time to start thinking about losing weight, it is a great idea to stay as active as possible this will help your during labour and speed up your recovery. This class is designed by a pre & postnatal specialist instructor and we will give you adaptations if needed during the session.

Can I bring more than one child?

Yes of course! Twins, triplets, older siblings are always welcome at class. During the half terms we will also play some Disney/Film tracks to help keep them entertained throughout!

I haven’t exercised in a long time, will the class be ok for me?

Yes, please do not worry as the majority of us are in the same situation. We will show you high and low options throughout, all you have to do is pick the option that suits you and work at your own pace. We would always recommend that you begin with the lower options and gradually over time work you way up to the higher intensity options.

At all of our classes we have a really welcoming and supportive environment with a no pressure and non-judgmental atmosphere, it is way more important for you to have fun!

Will I make friends here?

We also encourage our foxy mama’s to socialise at class because we recognise just how important the social support is! We will always find a local cafe and grab a coffee maybe even a sneaky cake or pop to a play park after class to have a chat and get to know each other better. You do not have to come, but it is a great way of meeting like-minded mamas!

What happens if my baby/child gets upset during class?

There is no need to worry, we have a really relaxed atmosphere and the majority of us are mama’s aswell! If you need to attend your baby at any point - go for it! We get the little one’s involved as much as possible and the movement often keeps them happy, but if not it is no problem at all. Go feed, change, cuddle and simply hop back in when you are ready.

What should I wear/bring?

Please make sure that you bring your own exercise matt along with you, we do have some spare at class but these are limited. Bring along your water bottle and anything that you might need for baby. We would recommend you bring some toys that you don’t mind others sharing, again we will have some available at class aswell!

Wear clothes that you feel comfortable exercising in and trainers. Then all you need to remember is you!
